The Comanche is a 100 ft maxi yacht designed in France by VPLP and Guillaume Verdier and built in the United States by Hodgdon Yachts for Dr. James H. Clark. This 15 million dollar monohull yacht took 15,000 hours to design and an additional 150,000 hours to build. She has the most advance technological materials and electronics available. The sole purpose for imagining and building this monhaull speed yacht was to break records.
Yet despite all of the advances in technology and design, she needs an equally skilled team to navigate her. This phenomenal yacht is nothing without the right team working in unison. This was apparent when in 2016, she set a blistering new record for a monohull. The Comanche crossed the Transatlantic in just 5 days, 14 hours, and 21 minutes. This was accomplished by an eight man team using a four hours on and four hours off system.
To accomplish the big goals in our lives, we need to work in teams. More importantly, with people who share the same vision and goal.
