One of the most stressful things when I was growing up was learning how to interact with women I was interested in. I recall one time when I had taken an interest in a girl and decided to buy her a gift. While shopping in the mall with my mother I asked her to buy a necklace for me. She seemed somewhat surprised and delighted at my innocence in showing her affection in this way. The next day when I saw her I simply handed her the necklace and said it was for her. I then quickly walked away.
Fast forward to my twenties and my relationship with women was completely different. Jaded and hurt by past experiences, I simply chose to treat women as objects for personal satisfaction. It was selfish and destructive. I went from relationship to relationship focused on the physical. When I became bored I simply moved on.
Eventually God convicted me of my selfish ways. He placed a desire in my heart to seek a woman of integrity, a godly woman. In order for me to find her I would need to live a life of purity. This was the catalyst of a new beginning in my life and one in which God would eventually bring back to His ways.
So many men are held hostage by this sexual immorality. God knows it’s destructive to the soul and the body. This is why He tells us to flee. Not walk or step away…FLEE! Run!
Encouragement:
