Men are lost. For decades men were told to chase distractions such as cars, money, sports, entertainment, and women to find fulfillment. Others have spent their lives running from something. Today, there is a worldwide growing social crisis among men, loss of identity.
We no longer know what it means to be a man. We’ve passively handed over our responsibility and identity for society to redefine manhood for us. We’ve stood by the sidelines, waiting for our turn to get into the arena. In the process, we’ve also sidelined our effectiveness and potential contribution to society.
To further diminish men’s roles, today’s culture seems increasingly convinced that there are no real differences between genders; instead, everyone is just a person. Any recognition of distinct qualities of male and female is not only denied but most often condemned as sexist or ignorant. This approach to manhood is downright destructive.
Manhood is something all men should aspire to achieve. Manhood is about being responsible, providing, sacrificing, committing, discipline, contributing, and more beyond oneself. In essence, manhood is for the benefit of others.
Considering manhood is under attack, we need warriors. Warriors to defend, protect, and uphold the sanctity of biblical manhood and the good it provides to all. Unlike the stereotypical hard-charging, overtly aggressive, and demanding man, an FX3® Warrior lives according to the following:
